October Plant Sale Report

Reporting at the conclusion of another successful solely online sale going forwards towards kipper season and the Brexit uncertainty.   A highly active register of buyers partook of the activity from far and wide with lots selling to Italy, Ukraine, Slovenia, Romania, Ireland, Bathgate, North Lanarkshire and other Highland neighbourhoods and most counties down through to Cornwall including the surrounding parishes from Bovey, Woodbury, and the Tedburn & Exeter District.
Top slot went to the 1993 aged Case 5140 Tractor which sold well at £6000. A smart Massey Ferguson Mid Mounted Ride On Mower far exceeded the vendor's expectations and parted for £4300. The pick of the mini diggers sold for £3900 for a 1.5 Ton Hanix. Top price dumper went to a Barford 7 Tonner for £3500. A local council claimed £2800 for a Hayter Ride On Mower selling to Italy. Farm machinery in shorter supply saw an Opico Harrow look well sold when it was cashed for £1020
The stars from the medium plant were made up from local hire companies and councils with a Pneumatic Mole being fiercely bid for and settling at £380 with the best of many disc cutters at £230 with several others £125-£175. CAT 4 Detectors sold readily for £150-230, with the best Stihl Chainsaw at £180.
A local Gym asked us to exercise our selling power with 9 bits of equipment following a revamp and was pleased when their leg press made £660 with Abductors twice to £280 and a Shoulder Press at £320. To paint a clear picture with the smalls, the best of the Johnsons Emulsion sold for £20 and other tins were well contested and followed from previous satisfied customers to ensured a total clearance. The tarpaulins sold to £14 in advance of the forthcoming season and a satisfactory percentage of the new tools found new home also.
