Online Car, Van & Plant Auctions

Online Car & Light Van Auctions:

Online auction of Cars & Light Vans will be held twice a month.  The first will be early in the month and the second will be mid month. Dates will vary so please see auction diary for exact dates.

Viewing:

We suggest viewing from 2 days before the auction finishes to ensure most vehicles are on site when you visit.  However, you can view any weekday 9.00am to 4.30pm.  The vehicles will be located at Husseys Auction Centre, Tedburn Road, Exeter, EX4 2HH (unless stated otherwise).

Bidding Registration:

Bidding will be made via the i-bidder.com or bidspotter.co.uk websites.  There will be a link to these sites from our auction diary pages. Bidders must create an account online with the  websites and must provide proof of identity (valid phone number and valid email address). There will also need to be a valid debit card registered for identity purposes. This card will not be charged.  If you are not auctomatically approved to bid please contact us on 01392 425481.
You do not need to create an account to view lots.

Bidding Process:

Lots will be offered one at a time in ascending lot number order.  There will be a staggered finish of 1 minute between each lot.  This means that if the auction starts finishing at 12.00 Noon the first lot will finish at 12.00 and the second at 12.01pm and the third at 12.02pm and so on until all lots have been offered.  If you wish to bid on a lot you can either leave your best offer online and allow the website to bid up to your limit on your behalf or you can bid once and rebid again if you are out bid.  One important note to bear in mind is that if you bid in the last 10 minutes before a lot is due to close, a further 10 minutes is added to the bidding time. (For example, if the lot closes at 12.00pm and you bid at 11.58am, the end time for that lot is extended to 12.08pm. It will extend again if you are counter bid within this time).
Please bear in mind that your bid is for the hammer price and will be subject to auction charges as shown on the lot description page. Bidders on cars and light vans should be aware of the additional charges as shown at the BOTTOM of the lots description page.  Cars are not generally subject to VAT but light vans WILL BE unless specifically stated otherwise.  VAT will in these cases be added to your hammer price.

Lotting:

Cars will be assigned the range of lots 3001 to 3099 and Light Vans will be in the range 3101 onwards

Payment:

Winning bidders will be notified by email and must follow the payment instructions given.  Payment must be made to Husseys as your card will NOT be charged by i-bidder or bidspotter.  Once payment has been received the vehicle will be available for collection subject to the details given in the email.
